Communication is the key...

Here, at LDP, we beleive in old fashioned communication on the web, through mailing lists or newsgroups. This wiki can also be used to communicate (writing HOWTOs is a way of communicating), but not very efficient.

Mailing lists

A mailing list is seen by the user as a simple e-mail adress. LDP most used one is "discuss AT en.tld.org" (e-mail are of the form xxx@yyy.zz, but if we keep using this on a Web page it's spammed :-().

When you, user, write a mail to this adress, this mail is sent to all the subcribers without other work. You also receive any mail sent to the list. We have archives for the mailing-lists.

Subscribing

To receive a mailing list, you have to subscribe to the list

To subscribe, send an empty message to: <list-name>-subscribe@en.tldp.org (eg. announce-subscribe@en.tldp.org]] ) or click on the links provided below.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail, simply send back the mail (clic on "reply" and send).

Unsubscribing

To unsubscribe, send an empty message to: <list-name>-unsubscribe@en.tldp.org (eg. announce-unsubscribe@en.tldp.org). The simpler way is to clic on the subscribe link and add the "un" :-).

You will receive a confirmation e-mail, simply send back the mail (clic on "reply" and send).

If you want to see the list (and write to it) with a news reader, go to Gmane, search for "LDP" and follow the instructions there.
