Browse the mirrors

This page is a help for people making the task of browsing the mirrors for the LDP.

Why

The LDP have many mirrors. They help spreading the HOWTO. Most of them are Universities.

We need to be sure all the referenced mirrors are up to date, according to the status given on the mirror page (DAILY...).

How

This can be seen by going to the mirror and looking at the home page to see if the date (top right corner of the page) is the same as http://tdlp.org.

Then one need to use some of the links in the mirror to see if they point to usable doc. If aver an incorrect document is found, look at the main tldp one to see if the error is from the mirror or from LDP.

If there is a problem with the miror, first write to the discuss list to inform everybody (just to don't have two people writing to the mirror admin at the same time), then write to the admin to ask.

Given we now have a wiki :-), it could be a good idea to write on the mirror page the date it have been tested and the result ("tested good on month day, year by <identity of tester>.
