Porting a document to the LDP wiki is not a trivial task. It's not either an impossible task. It may be automated in some future day, so don't do it if not necessary nor without asking for help.

Document source

The LDP autorized source is the docbook file found in the CVS. Porting this docbook source to the wiki have yet to be documented and automated. if you have script knowledge and want to work on this, God Bless you :-))

Html source

For small documents, use the single html LDP page. ask the source to your browser.

Paste this source in the on line document converter

The result can be fairly good, but as of November 2008 this converter is out of date (use old MoinMoin syntax). So you will have to paste the result in your favorite editor (for example gvim, but any editor should do the job) and fix some things by hand (search and change);

Things to be fixed are:

then you can paste the result in the MoinMOIN page. Open the HOWTO wiki page from your own personal wiki page, so you will be able to find it again easily :-) (write on your page [[HOWTO name]].

Text source

If your are disturbed by the wiki syntax, you still can simply copy the text document (select in the browser, copy/paste in the wiki.

The only mandatory syntax to know is that it's necessary to have a blank line in the source betwen two paragraphs.

Be warned though that such copy usually lose the links...
